Glue on edge of box weakened by age and years storage allowed to open. All of the chrome is as manufactured with no visible damage. On-line research indicates that this mirror is one will also fit other Gm model's including Oldsmobile, Buick and Pontiac.
This mirror is an accessory not often found in condition its original packaging. Original mounting instructions included with the piece. It should also fit Chevrolet impala and Bela air model's. Looking at the instructions it appears that all pieces needed can be easily bought any hardware home improvement store.
Original Gm nos Chevrolet rain deflector mirror item is part of family estate found in box on the shelf garage storage. There appears that the original protective coating is still on mirror surface and some of chrome. See photos the mirror is not chipped, scratched or chipped. Overall, this piece is in nos condition and has no signs of ever being out the box until recently discovered.
Note: there was no small brown envelope containing any of the mounting hardware. Item taken out of packaging for photos.
