It is the small early mirror design.

The chrome is new but on very close inspection has a few scattered micro scratches, likely due to the Styrofoam packing. I do not have the Mercedes part number for this item discrete from the entire rear view mirror assembly. I purchased the shell as an original old new stock part during the restoration of my 450 sl project.

I have had it in storage for at least a decade. The shell is heavy metal, with absolutely no dents or dings. The background this is one of many extra parts from my 450SL restoration project. It is for the early 450 sl to 1974, but may fit other model's.

It has the number 4230 and a cross in a circle stamped on the bottom near the drain hole.

I have repackaged with a soft cotton covering. It is thus a it is unused and has been in the box surrounded by peanut Styrofoam on the shelf. New old stock the offer is for a new old stock, Mercedes Benz chrome metal outer housing shell for the Riverside rear view mirror.

No other numbers can be seen. It is only the outer metal shell without any of the other mirror components or hardware. A light polish would make it flawless.
