These scratches may even buff out, I did not try. I think the mounting gasket may cover most of the scratch at the base once the mirror is installed. This should be the correct gm part number for 1963 all Pontiac's and for a 1964, 1965, and 1966 Gto, Lemans, and tempest.

It is a gm part number long. This piece is above average for gm chrome. The chrome on this mirror is not flawless, typical for factory gm chrome, but has no pitting. Up for offer today we an nos drivers side mirror.

You should not be disappointed with this piece. It does have some very minor scratches due to normal storage wear and a small scratch at the front of the mounting base approx. The mirror comes with all the original mounting hardware needed to install. The number at the base of the mirror glass is 3 dim 1.
